Written in High School when I was worried I was losing my mind.

When I was in high school we were assigned to write our story. Chapter one was our childhood, chapter 2 was school years and in chapter 3 we were to predict where we would go from there. I turned in crap written at the last minute because the first draft scared me and would let people in too close. In the first draft it was graduation day. I was in my robes with the board and tassel on my head. They called my name and I walked up and shook the hand of the superintendent handing out the diploma but as I reached for the diploma a Soviet nuclear warhead struck Point Mugu base a few miles from my school and I was vaporized along with everyone I knew. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would live to be 20.
